me too-Dave Germain
well I used to be on here 12 to 15 times a day now 2 times..don't like it at all, surely this isn't for good is it??Dave
Defintely found the old style ...a bit easier on the eye's.
Old format preferred, this is now clunky compared to before, can't even access the archive lists.
Agreed, this new format sucks.
The archive list bug has been fixed.
Please bear with us a few days as we transition to the newer version of Vbulletin software. This is NOT the finished product. This is kind of like the first time you saw a base coat/clear coat paint job before they sprayed the clear. Kind of looked like crap, then came out pretty good...lol.
When we are done with it, it will be pretty close to the old 'feel' of being able to navigate it.
If for whatever reason we can't get the new version as good as the old, we can always go back to it. But, give us a few more days to get the new version lined out. The new version has some new features that should make things like posting pictures, etc. much easier. Not to mention we have been running on such an old version of vbulletin, Shannon tells me they probably won't support it for much longer than a year.
I am also going to start a 'bugs' post in the Pit Buzz so you can post any problems you find with the site.
So, we apologize for the inconvienience while we 'remodel.'
Change is good.
I don't mind it. Just looks different. Not sure about all the pink and baby blue though!
Will I hate it I can't find anything too confusing change it back!
Kinda like a drunk gurl sayin 'wail see my titz' and she barfs in your lap. But I guess I'll wait Will. O.K. But not so much fluff.
Glad to hear that this is only an interim format.
For the new format could you nix the big dark blue V-Bulletin header? Terrible waste of space. I find generally that everything is too spaced/spread out, and it could be greatly condensed. Seems I have to do a lot of scrolling to see what I used to see on my monitor. I kind of liked the old condensed list of one-liner topics in the forums, and if it was dark blue I knew to either glance or preview. Knowing who from, date, etc. is far less important and icons don't help either.
I know that change is inevitable/good, but I do hope that the New ITA will eventually look/feel a lot more like the Old ITA.
Two more suggestions.........
1) The system seems to be terribly slow versus the old, in terms of navigating and reading.
2) There is no obvious indicator that a person has a PM awaiting.
Archives still buged
Aloha, I tried the archives again today, still not working as before the change, current default is to the oldest posts, the opposite index # just returns you to the archive menu list. This was the slickest method to surf this site, I certainly hope you can keep this method available with the new version.
Aloha Doug Cobeen
New format is a joke
This new format is very poor and takes up a lot of space. Think I'll look for another site.
Take a deep breath and relax...this is just a transition format. I'm sure the new site will be bitchin' with all the space well used. Maybe even a four wide posting format so we can be outta here in half the time. (insert smiley face here)
Hard to Navigate???
I am having a hard time finding the posts for parts for sale (and questions section)? I know change is good and it should be soon, but please wait for my answers as I do not know how to send back yet? THANKS! Blown540
dad always said if it's not broke don't fix it.....first time here today might look tomorrow:dave(
