What are Gold or Silver cards?

I gather it's for top 10 players correct? If that's all who get in free to Div. races, it'll be a short field at some races.

Gold card holder is for the previous year Division champion
Silver cards are for the #2 thru #5 finishers
Bronze cards are for the #6 thru #10 finishers

Not even all these people get in for free. The Div. 5 office said the following:
Gold Card - entry plus 4 crew
Silver Card - entry plus 3 crew
Bronze Card - entry plus 2 crew
So even the division champion has to pay if he wants to take more than 4 crew persons!

Hope I get this right.

For a class:

7 or 8 Gold Cards (Car, Driver, & 5 Crew)
-National Champ. and 7 Divisional Champs(1 Divisional Champ is often the National Champ also)

27 to 32 Silver Cards (Car, Driver, & 3 Crew)
- National #2 thru #5 points finishers, and Divisional(X7) #2 thru #5 points finishers.

33 to 40 Bronze Cards (Car, Driver, & 1 Crew)
- National #6 thru #10 in points, and Divisional (X7) #6 thru #10 in points.

Depending on how many of the home division top 10, out of division top 10, and racers willing to pay money to lose money, yeah, there could be short fields out there.

Marty, how many races do you plan to run this year?

 

We are planning on running 8 divisional plus 8 nationals events again this year. Also we would love to qualify for the All-Stars again this year. Jegs has made that a really fun deal.
