I had a question on how much weight will affect my time slip. The car I am driving is about 150lbs over weight. It has an old Dean Skuza f/c carbonfiber body. How much more or less does a nitro body weigh than an alcohol body?

i always heard that it was 100 pounds was a tenth too....but the faster you go that number changes a little. we have found that with a low 6 sec. car or high 5 sec. car that 100 pounds is around .06. i'm not saying this will be right for everyone, just my 2 cents. this should get alot of responses....could get interesting.

100 pounds would be about .07. We were about 35 pounds overweight when we ran 5.54 at Pomona. I don't believe it would have run anywhere near a 5.51 if we were on the number.
