    what should my timing be set at for my 427 Bbc 22 lbs of boost on alcohol

    Also a 6 amp mag

    I ran 32 before the magneto now running 36 and so far it sounds crazy at idle

    Read your plugs. We run 35 at 53LBS in a 526 Chevy with 10-1 static.

    Your mag retards timing when underload. This can be 2-4 degrees depending on how much load it is put under. This means that if you actually want 32 degrees during the run you need to put in more with the timing light at idle. With the MSD mags they use a timing compensation circuit within the Electronics Points Box to stop the timing from retarding
