Yes, that is correct. One degree is worth about a 100 hp

I'm pulling 10 degrees out at the step and just performing a second burn out.

Wow. What's your combo. Tranny gear and rear sounds like too much gear to me.

    125in, 526 1471 b&j quick drive. 1.68 low 4.29.
I think the problem is in tire pressure and wheelie bar height.

Your tire pressure should be right at 6 psi

Goodyear 34.5x17x16, liner set at 60 tire at 6.0. We set the wheelie bar at 3 inches bottom of wheel to ground.

Might sound odd, but how old are the tires? I bought a set of 36" tires for the wheels and thought, what the heck, let's try them. Like putting on roller skates.

Is the wheelie bar mounted to the rear end like a dragster or up to the body tree?

Its mounted on the rear end.

Another issue I've been working on is idle egt's. I understand that aren't hugely important except mine have been above 750-800 degrees. The more I adjust the barrel the more they spread out. Soon #1&2 holes will be out!

That is caused by the Manifold. Adjust the BV at the coolest point without putting out the fires in 1&2

Mike, I'm not understanding. The port nozzles are not open at idle. What am I missing? The plugs are balanced as far as burn, the egt's in high gear are within 35 degrees across. Thanks

The blower throws the fuel to the front of the manifold. That is why I use a set back manifold. Problem solved.

I have a 2 inch set back on the blower now. Since I run a body, thats as far back as I can move it.

Position of blower on the manifold and design of the manifold cause the imbalance at idle. So you can only adjust the barrel valve to rich or lean at idle unless you install dribblers to run at idle and cool the hot cylinders. As long as it is balanced at WOT idle really doesn't matter

Ok. I have heard of dribblers, and that there a pain.
The issues is that the last run, the average egt at launch was 610 and a it just doesn't seem to be the correct setup. At least not a winning setup. Thanks
