I have a Craftsman timing light that does not seem to work on my car, I know the light works because someone borrowed it and had no problems on a bracket car. What type, brand of timing light works with this type of application. Is it that there is too much insulation on the wires for it to pick up the signal?

If you're using the Craftsman dial back light, those timing lights have problems with strong mags (ie MSD 44) We had trouble with ours. Just use a simple inductive timing light. The self powered ones work just fine. Wayne
