    This just in-

Alan Chervitz from Bradenton Motorsports Park just called to let me know they are paying $7500 to win TAD this year. The rest of the purse is yet to be decided, but look for the news in an upcoming press release next week. Spread the news, this should be one hell of a race now!!

Will they run TAFC also? I wonder if any of the Div 3 TAFC guys will come down if they do.

    Sorry,

No TAFC this year. Its just too hard to get cars in that region.

I was there last year with my Outlaw Street car, and it paid $4000.00 to win TAD. There was only 4 or 5 cars, and 2 of them were IHRA top dragsters that only ran in the sixes. Gunderson was the only notable TAD that I remember, and I`m pretty sure he won. Saw him run 5.40 something.
If it pays that much, we`ll be there. Thats like winning 3 Divisional races, and being low qualifier....

$500 1st round...REQUIRES 2 qualifying passes and 1st round appearance...hmmmm..3 runs @ $167 per pass...it's probably an average 7-12 hour tow for most of you,@ $10 per hour for fuel, 2 nights at the Hilton, feed 3 or 4 people for 4 days..I'll never understand why a promoter puts everything on the winner. On the other hand if you're willing to accept such a financially sound business opportinity, why not ask him to keep ALL the round money and make it winner take all!!!After all you're all going to win.right?I'll be surprised if 6 cars show up. But to you 6, My sincerest good luck wishes to all.By the way, when I used to run that race there almost 20 years ago, 1st round paid $500, ( Remember Bob Lev.Bruce H, Ken W ?)
