We run 1/8 mile, BBC PSI-D 124 over, With JBR front loading hat. 8900 – 9100 rpm. From your experience is there any gain going to a full open hat,to match the opening of the psi? Intake temp or boost?

It will not lower the temperature but depending on how much of the PSI top opening you are covering up now then it might increase you boost.

    hat opening

The JBR has a opening of 4 1/2" x 12 1/2 vr the full tryangle opening of the PSI. Did anybody switch and see any gains in ET with the same Od?

You will run into a variety of opinions regarding front loading the PSI (like the older A980 Whipple screw) with or without "shoes". My suggestion is to talk with the folks at PSI as they know the in's & out's of their device the best. My two cents worth would be to use the entire PSI opening and to find the hat with the max blade area. Beyond that recommendation, talk with Roger at PSI.
