    It has been brought to my attention that long time Div 1 TAD racer Steve Lamplough has passed away. RIP and God's Speed.

    Steve was one of the great guys. Just flat out loved the TAD class. He put every cent he ever had in his racing operation. This is a horrible loss to the racing community. Does anyone have an address or the funeral arrangements?

    Steve was an excellent person and driver.

    Our condolences go out to his wife and family.

    Was Steve the owner\driver of the Beast TAD? If so he was a real help at Maple Grove when we had some problems. So sorry to here of his passing

    I met and befriended the Lamploughs in 1988 and have remained good friends since. I am proud of the fact that prior to Fran Monagahan drove for me, Steve had his last TAD win when he drove for me in 1999. I was totally shocked when his wife Shelly called me yesterday to tell me the sad news. I was especially shocked because I had a long conversation with him 2 weeks ago and mistakenly hung up believing that he had a year to find a liver transplant to make it.
    Goodby to aq good friend and my thoughts are with Shelly and the girls.

    Sad news it is, Steve was a good fellow, and a great racer. He told me some pretty wild stories while at Maple Grove this year, had me rolling with laughter. Next time you see a meteor shooting through the sky, just maybe...just maybe, that might be Steve on the ultimate ride. God speed to you~~~~

    I miss my uncle dearly. He will be missed by alot of wonderful people. I will miss his stories about racing. I will miss being there with him at the track, watching, helping, doing whatever that was needed to make another pass.

    P.S. I want to also thank all that sent flowers and such. It was alot to take in on a short period of time but I know when i'm at the track this year it will not be the same.
