Reichert and Snyder claim Spitzer Race Cars Top Alcohol qualifying bonuses

Bill Reichert in Top Alcohol Dragster and Mick Snyder in Top Alcohol Funny Car will be honored at the annual Land of the Winners awards banquet, January 5, 2008 at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites as recipients of the 2007 Spitzer Race Cars Top Alcohol Low Qualifier Bonuses.

The year-end bonuses of $1,000 each and special lead crystal awards will be presented to Reichert and Snyder for having accumulated the most qualifying points at North Central Division NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events during the 2007 season. Qualifying points were awarded to the top 16 qualifiers with 16 points for the low qualifier, 15 points for number two, etc.

This is Reichert’s second straight Spitzer award having qualified number one at five of the six 2007 events picking up an additional $2,500 in Spitzer Race Cars Low Qualifier event bonuses. Dave Hirata qualified number one at Beech Bend in August to snap Reichert’s near perfect streak.

Mick Snyder picks up his third straight year-end bonus with his lone number one qualifying spot at Beech Bend to edge Marty Nothstein by two points. Unlike Reichert’s Top Alcohol Dragster dominance, there were six different drivers who were low qualifiers including Andy Bohl, Frank Manzo, Daniel Wilkerson, Kirk Williams and Nothstein along with Snyder.
