I have a Roots setup and use an RCD Starter. We have tried two different starter dogs and it will vibrate your arms off when trying to crank. It's gone through 3 solenoids. When spinning off of the motor it is smooth as silk. Has anyone else had this issue. I have seen other teams use these and do not seem to have the same problems. It has just been to RCD. Any advise?

We have repositioned it numerous times for alignment and the batteries are only 1 year old. It did this when I bought the batteries new. Could it that the belt is too loose?

We had that problem until we aligned it. If you put the starter on and look at the two starter dogs the contact area at the top and the bottom have to be even distance from each other. Back off the starter just enough so you can get a drill bit in between the top and bottom of the dogs and adjust so they are even.

Check if the starter bracket is not too loose on the bracket on the blower
