pre filters

hey just wondering if anyone uses a pre filter in there oil pick up lines so junk doesnt end up in the pump when something goes wrong, if so what are the best filters, my main concern is restricting the pump dont want to cause a problem trying to prvent one, i run a blown kb in a dragster with a tfx oil pump and 50 weight oil
