The Torco Racing Fuels Top Alcohol Dragster, driven by Marty Thacker, and crewed by the Rapid Transit Racing Team, is headed to the N.H.R.A. Southern Nationals to see if they can make lighting strike the same place twice. Marty defeated Art Gallant to claim the 2003 crown at the fabled Commerce, Ga. Track, located just north-east of Atlanta. This years event will be held from May 12 to the 15th.

“We had every little thing go wrong that could” Marty commented when ask about the teams initial 2005 outing at Indianapolis. “We have spent the last 3 weeks going over all parts of the car, and trying to eliminate the chances of another weekend like that. We found a few leftover problems created by the large amount of R&D work we did last year. After my crew, and our sponsors showed so much faith in this car, I’ve got to get the thing back on track.
