have a new FED, at the time it was being built i didnt know if we were going to run BBC, 392, or 426 if that matters. anyways, we are running a 426. i ordered Reid BB mopar bellhousing for the PG and go to put trans in and the starter pocket makes it too wide. i put the BBC housing up to the plate an no problems, it will fit within the rails.

so, what are my options. is there aftermarket SFI certifiable housings that fit glides with standard torque convertor setup that do not have the starter pocket. or even non-SFI housings i can use shield with assuming the shield goes on the inside.

this is all new to me

    thank you

as a note, the motor plate is drilled for both 426 and BBC. maybe a way to use the plate and use the BBC housing and not have to buy another housing?

I used a Reid and cut it when I ran a glide and a KB Hemi. Mounted the Mean a green starter to the mid plate.
