How many here have purchased and currently use the Lifetime 6' x 30" plastic "party" style tables at the track outside of your trailer or in the garage? These are the ones that are commonly sold at Costco and Sam's Club.

    http://www.lifetime.com/library/pdf/6-Foot_Folding_Table.pdf

Please only respond if this actually applies to you or your team directly. I'm also curious to see if you do use them, how many you actually own. And I'm not asking about the aluminum, high dollar tables, just these plastic topped versions.

    Thanks!

We use them, a lot lighter than the wooden ones. Don't work too well for sitting heavy stuff of (like screw blowers, etc), but are good for setting food, dishes, etc. If I use them for storing cylinder heads while the motor is apart, I place them near the ends so the table doesn't bow as much.

I have several that I've used for years. I have the ones that fold in the center. Use them in my carbon fiber business too, to do layups on and to do work on the road. Very handy and pretty strong too.

I have two large tables and a small table. I love them. They stand up to brake clean bathes at the end of the weekend too.

    What's up?

I'll send out a PM to everyone that responds by the end of the week. There is no drama related to these tables so there is no need to panic! Just an idea I have to improve them and I should have a prototype ready by Friday at the latest.

    stainless

I forget who, but I know of one person who cut out stainless and glued it to one of those white tables.

They're pretty serviceable, but they do tend to get stained pretty good after a few oil spills, clutch dust and what not, so they only get so 'clean' in appearance. Depends on if you're just after functionality or a real clean pit area.

We use them all the time at the track. They will hold a 3 speed Lencodrive for servicing, or a roots blower hat to manifold.

    yep

We have four big ones and one little one. Work great, have had them for years, like will said, they don't look new anymore but.... they do the job. I had one of the fold in the middle type, it fell apart quickly and was a lot heavier so had to retire it.

We have some older wooden ones that i brought back in a container years ago, we dont put a PSI blower on the plastic ones as would bend them.

    tables

I see people have 3,4or 5 of the plastice tables why not spend alittle now and never wory about them again. We obviously have 2 of Paul Gills Moduline built aluminum tables (the original prototypes) They will hold blowers manifold to hat, heads with out worry. They are more up front but.. they will be the last you need to buy light and convienint to store with the wall brackets etc. just a plug for the boss.
    Scott.. TAFC 1350 Moduline....

I have 4 of them as well and what i had done was gotten some 1/16 stainless steal broke forthe tops welded the conners and bolted them to the tables and after you do that what ever you want to put on them just do it they are almost as strong as a shop bench
