Pistons

What brand pistons are screw blower cars running. I am running a KB olds with a whipple making around 50lbs of boost. I have been through multiple sets of custom arias pistons that were suppose to handle this and have had issues with collapsing the skirts. I run king bearings and show no sign of detonation so I do not believe this is the issue.

 

You may not necessarily have detonation problems, but you could have an engine that's not very happy with it's tune up. I have always been a JE user. Call Ed at JE, you can reach him at 714-898-9763 ext. 217. He takes care of all the screw blower guys there. By the way, most of the NHRA TAD, TAFC and A fuel cars run JE.
