Not sure where you heard that Dart is not making the 360 solids anymore. I just talked to them and they said they have never stopped and have just ordered up a new batch of castings.

Maybe give them a call and put an order in.

Like I said, posting for a friend. He's been talking to Dart for a couple of months and they said they quit making them. He talked to these guys (Patriot) yesterday and they knew of the issue and said Dart as reconsidering as there was a demand. Sounds like they are going back into production.

I will put a call into dart today and find out what the story is,as of 12/31/11 dart was "NOT" producing 360 solids, perhaps they have reconsidered this decision.at any rate,i still would like to find out about these patriot heads, any info would be greatly appeciated, thanks

I talk to them yesterday and they said the solid head version all they do is take a water head and fill it in and weld it.and charge 500 more then the water versioni personally would stay away from them but it's up to you what you think of that.

yeah thats what i thought. to me that sounds like the nightmare of using the block filler in alum heads. i asked em if they were gonna starting doing a billet set with no water holes at all and he said no cause they get their castings from china and do the finish machining here. I would consider the water heads, but wouldnt touch their solid heads

So you are saying that Dart said their solid 360 heads are from China and they are really water heads they fill themselves and sell as solid heads? Who at Dart did you talk to?

I actually have a set of the current 360 solids and they are most definitely solid and a very nice looking casting. Even the CNC stuff right from Dart is very respectable for flow numbers if your not looking to set the world on fire.

Patriot head are grout filled not solid.
    Ask me how I know.
We were told that Dart didn't do solids any more.

Not happy with the patriots but they only just arrived so we will see what happens.

    Patriot heads

Save yourself the hazzle of trying to go racing with CHINEESE JUNK. (It may sound tempting pricewise, but the real answer is BUY AMERICAN from well reputated manufacturers). This may not be what you want to hear, but it is damn close to the truth. Just my 2 cents

    Brodix Solid Heads

The guys at Brodix tell me that they can do most any of their heads without water jackets as they do their own castings. About $250 per head option, need a little extra time when you order them. Good ole' Arkansas American Aluminum!!!!
