    Ok;

There's no dealers in the St. Louis metro of Brad Penn that I can find. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, I dunno.

At any rate, what's second favorite on oil for blown alky. We're shooting for initial fire up this coming week and need some quality lube.

    Catrol?
    Valvoline?
    Mobile One?
    Penzoil?
    Royal Purple?
    Red Line?

Just like Fast Avenger said (except now it's almost $4.00 a quart)

For immediate needs, you can go to o'reilly's or some Auto Zones, Valvoline 60 weight and 1 thing of Lucas Stabilizer does work well.

I'm working on a different oil deal (announcement forth coming) that will enable us to get 8 runs per 21 quarts at a less price than Royal Purple and Red Line and not have to use any more stabilizer.

With Valvoline, we're only able to get 2 if everything goes well.

    Good Luck!!!

    Hope this helps.

    John,

Patton (foolish money alky car) has used the 50 weight Lucas with Stabilizer with very good results, and when they didn't have that available, they used the 70 weight with about the same results less the stabilizer.

Brad Penn, for Us, was only good for 3 laps rotated and if you buy it in Pallet, you get the discount, if not, it's a little more than the Valvoline 60 (not much).

    PS HI JIM PHILLIPS :)

I run the Lucas 50 wt or 70 wt depending on how hot it is. I also add a quart of stabilizer to each oil change. We change the oil in the pan every pass but it is usually only 5 or 6 quarts. The rest of the oil is in the dry sump tank and we change it every third pass. I buy the Lucas oil by the drum and that seems to be the best way price- wise. I tried to get in touch with the Brad Penn folks several times but never was able to get a response from them. Amazing how they stay in business with such lousy customer service. I used to run the old Kendall green and loved that so I thought Brad Penn was a natural but not if their representative won't return calls, emails, etc. I have always thought the first rule of business was "Don't make it hard for the customers to give you their money, because eventually they won't".

PS. By the way- I don't see any reason to ever change from the Lucas Oil now because it works, their customer service is great, and the price is good. They are good people to deal with and if I am going to give my money to somebody why not give it to the people who sponsor us?

Sounds like I'll be moving to Lucas then. Bought some Valvoline ZR1 and the Lucas High Zinc Break In Additive to fire it up (convenience).

But, before race day, it'll have Lucas 50W in it.

Using the Valvoline 241. Haven't used it enough runs to come to an opinion that it is "the best". Haven't had a bearing failure yet, that is what counts for me!

    Lucas Oil

One more additional thought from me before I go back into hiding: Lucas Oil has spent "cazillions" supporting our sport. My going to other oil suppliers to save a "few" bucks a run, doesn't sound quite so important to me now! Lucas, thanks for your continued support! Please, let me know about a local Lucas distributor in the central Florida area.
