Spokane County Raceway and Renegade Raceway in Yakima will be hosting a 3 to 4 blown alcohol (Pro Comp) race series in 2014. It's free entry and chicago style for blown alcohol cars only. Each car makes two passes and then the quickest two return for the final where the car that gets to the stripe first is the event winner. Every blown alcohol car that makes it down the track gets paid per round. This will be a points program with a series champion. Dates and more info as it becomes available but this is a done deal for 2014.

Here are the dates so far:

Nitro Nights Renegade Raceway Yakima June 28
Fox Hunt Drags Spokane County Raceway July 19
Nitro Night of Fire Spokane County Raceway August 23-24
    Venue TBA

Derek Snelson and Craig Smith are working hard to make this a success for the racer and is getting some contingency sponsors and a bonus at the end of the year for the team that wins the championship in addition to what a racer earns at each race. This is designed to give the racer that has a rear engine blown car a class to run in or perhaps a funny car which doesn't fit the age restrictions of the nostalgia groups. right now anyone with a 1981-2000 body is basically out of luck to find any where to fit in until now. Craig's hope is to get some of these cars that are collecting dust back out on the track. All three of these races are established events and they will happen. Yes it is Chicago style but that's what the promoters want so all the cars are seen at least twice in prime time for an action packed show.

    Northwest Blown Alcohol Series

We have raced at both tracks in the past with pretty good results. Was also treated fair and respectful at both.
I am curious though , will there be jet cars and monster trucks running before, after and between the blown car runs similar to last year at Spokane at this years event locations that have been mentioned ?

The payout for Ashcroft has just been posted at capracing.com/blown_alcohol_thunder.html Also the August date has been moved to Sept. 27 so it does not conflict with the NHRA National event. Also to answer a previous question, no Jets will be run at the Ashcroft events, and the Spokane Fox Hunt race.
