MSD 44 Cap Question

    was just looking at the old cap I was taking off and have a question

    first I know you adjust spark to leading edge of terminal inside cap

    I notice some terminals are burnt right on leading edge of cap like you would think they should be, then I have some terminals burnt all way across the whole terminal

    QUESTION
    is this normal or some problem I am not aware of?

    all MSD been checked within last year
