I run the power grid ignition with the power grid controler part nos. 7720 and 7730 so far with up to 38lbs boost with no issues, tommy keeter at KPE is the one that turned me onto it as he has a video of a BBC making right at 2500hp with the 7720 and 7730 on it and he swears that he has dynoed them back to back with a MSD 44 amp mag with no performance difference.

One of my friends runs the MSD 8 Plus with the Power Grid in a dragster and runs 3.90s on a fat tune-up and no problems and it starts so easy with an onboard starter too-You would be happy with it, if you do not want the 44 amp MSD magneto-I hope this helps-Jim

Use your 10 box, an hvc coil and a 7720 (?) grid to control all timing and rev limit functions. No need to replace the 10 if it's working, just add the grid to it

Yeah my mistake, we're using the 7502 so no coupler necessary.

I ran the 7720 box with the 7730 controller, then later picked up a used 10plus and now run that with the 7730 controller. On track performance (MPH) picked up for me when I installed the 10plus, and the plugs (in my opinion) are more consistent - easier to read. I keep the 7720 in the trailer along with the coil for a backup if the 10 fails.17-1800hp on 20-22psi, BBC. My experience anyhow...

We smoked our 10 over the weekend. So we now have 3 coils available. The one we have used for years, one we tried when the 10 started acting up and another still new in the box. Don't let anyone tell you that an ignition box either works or it don't. Ours would fire the motor but with any throttle, pipes would look like its on a two step. Opened the box and a bunch of crap is burnt. This all happened after big tire shake when "testing" new tires.

I would like to talk to you. I'm slow on the computer so I would rather by phone. Call me at 507 438-0931. I have more questions than price and shipping if you have time. Thanks.
