I am finally wising up and switching to a Hemi. This will all be new to me so I am looking for some guidance.

I have; TFX96 block standard deck w/4.187 sleeves. Early BAE billet dual plug fuel heads. And well that's it.

I run a nostalgia alky car with the Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Cars. Looking to run in the low 7.0 range. I am running a pedal clutch with a 3spd.

What should I run for stroke and piston combination, ect.?

    Thanks
    Steve Timoszyk

Yes that is...a lot of Nost guys run those cranks (cuv they are CHEAP) but if you go that way, be careful what main size you have and are getting! 7.0 will be easy to attain , talk later, Tim

    Steve,
if you only want to run 6.80 to 7.0 for the g.l.f.c. Circuit you don't need that big of motor ....3.75 crank........
With a 450 ci hemi we ran 6.20 1/4 and 4.0 1/8 mile. At only 8000 rpm with a 3 speed lenco-drive,and a 2260 lb fiat...went faster with the f/c body on even though it was heaver....

Whatever combination you use, make sure the chamber is the same size as the bore.

Venolia makes a 4.187 piston for this use, so you can use big show bore and head.

4.5 stroke makes easy power, and takeout cranks are easy to come by, but the 4.5 stroke kills converters.

I see you are using a Lenco and a clutch, so the stroke won't be a concern.

Call if you have any questions. 626 815-8815. I think we've talked before.
