Intake manifold to head match up

Here's a question for all you crew chiefs? I currently run war heads, but I have come across a new set of heads - Side to Side intake ports, even match. Vertical heads are 80 thousands larger than manifold, and will not modify manifold because it matches the other set of heads. 1471 standard roots funny car set up.

Mike, You lucked out. In a blown engine, as long as the port runners in the heads are larger than that in the intake manifold, it won't affect either the flow or the tuneup.

In unblown engines that depend on wave action to assist scavenging, it's a different story.
