Hello everyone from sunny Baytown, Texas. We have "Chamber of Commerce" weather today and tomorrow, but with a 50% chance of rain and cold on Sunday, new Division 4 Director Trey Capps has elected to complete the race on Saturday.

TD, TS, Comp, Harleys and Top Alcohol will receive one qualifier today and one tomorrow morning approximately 11 am. Those classes will then go into first round of eliminations. All other classes will go straight into first round tomorrow morning.

I am about to walk around the pits and make notes of who is here and post a few pictures. Be sure to spread the word we are doing live coverage this weekend!

    Get well soon

Would also like to say get well soon to TAFC racer Bryan Brown who had to have an emergency appendectomy yesterday.

    TAD Q1

    Left: Chase Copeland 6.524/257.04

Strasburg puts the revs up on high c and makes a nice clean a to b run. Copeland with shake early and takes a long pedal.

    Left Darvin Martinets 6.988/157
    Right Buddy Domingue 8.265/155.69

Both cars labored off line. Martinets had raw fuel out of his blown car on the top end.

    Left Duane Shields 5.394/272.06
    Right David Brounkowski 5.434/248.89

Good clean run by both cars. Looked like Brounkowskis car was eating itself up on top end.

    Left Forrest Fair 6.675/160
    Right Randy Meyer 11.401

Meyer up in smoke at hit. Big wheel stand off the line by Fair, has to pedal it to set it down and it came down hard. He did get back on it but moved to the wall.

    Left Jonnie Lindberg 8.52/101
    Right Ro Yale 6.732/147.41

Yale double bulbs and Lindberg just gets staged in time. Big shake for Lindberg and he lifts. Yale sticks with it and gets real close to wall.
