Check your oil temp and how much oil your puking into the frame rail. How close is the header to the frame rail?

We've run this car for several years and never had this happen before. The headers are well above the frame rail and the puke tubes are fairly clear. The rails are getting hot at idle, the only thing I can figure is that the ignition system is the culprit. I'm so confused

how hot is it at idle, head temp? could be to much air going in at idle. check your injector blades or your bleeds. possibly could be your problem. its right up there with i havent changed ANYTHING!! LIKE THE 2 JETS IN THE BARREL.LOL BEEN THERE,

    sounds retarded.
    like m tigges says .
did have a barrel valve prob once on our wipple comb. barrel valve was too fat on idle ,made the rear cylinders really lean .

We figured it out. With new pistons/rings and initial startup, the heat in the top rail was due to blowby through the puke system. Even suprised ourselves we didn't think of that first :D

Thanks for the great help and hope to see all in Memphis tomorrow! [IMG]
