Federlin wreck

Did anybody see what happened? Glad to hear he is ok. Hope he gets back out there soon; we need as many quality BADs as we can get.

 

Based on the Drag Race Central account almost sounds like a rear end failure, motor zings and car comes around and barrel rolls...glad he's ok. Prior to this Speedzone had announced that Steve was retiring after the Winternationals as a driver and was going to put a Div.6 super catagory driver in.

 

Im glad he's ok. Race cars are easy to fix..you know the rest.

I'm glad Steve's ok. He's been through enough already.

It's hard to tell from the video, but it looks to me like the right rear tire let go. A piece of something that looks white or shiny flies off the car to the right a split second before, which makes me think maybe the motor blew and some debris cut the tire.

I just hope he gets the car back together and gets back out there again soon. And I'd like to see him drive at least one last time. That's no way to go out.

It could of been a header pipe. Great to hear he's OK.

 

Looks as though the right tire came off rim and all. If you watch the video a few times to see where the problem starts, you can start and stop the video with the start button.
Glad Steve is OK.

 

I have talked with Steve he seems to be feeling well after the wreck just a little sore. He was testing a new tire and heard it go around a 1000' feet. Not sure what the cause was of the tire going. He hopes to be back out with us soon.

 

I am thankful and glad that steve was not seriously injured
in that spactacular crash. WOW........

Glad to hear Steve's ok does anybody know which tyre he was testing if you do a pm would be good. Dont want to test the same one!!

glad to see everything is ok. My best to Steve, Patty and the whole crew. That is not anything that anyone wants to see from the starting line or in the car

 

Tire

Just got off the phone with Steve he is very sore and beat up he said that they are sure it was the tire. It was the first run on that tire. He is really bummed out I told him to hang in there it will get better. JIM PETERS

 

Has Steve said what brand and or number the tires were? Looking at the speedzone pics, they obviously have liners as they aren't beedlock wheels.
