    Hi,
Just a quick question, what cylinder "Head" temps should you see at stage?
The engine in question is 315" SBC with a "D screw" and a pro mag 20.
Data logger has a provision left so where gonna try it. Already have 8 egt's and was just curious as to what numbers SHOULD be seen!
This is a cast 13* head deal not billet if that matters:confused:
    Thanks Jason....

where will you mount the temperature sending unit. I also have a non-water block and motor and wanted to run a cylinder temp gauge on the data logger, but did not know what gauge or where to install it. Mine is on a conventional headed BBC

Ours is BBC, no water in a water jacketed cast alum head. We drilled/tapped a hole parallel to the deck surfaces, centered front to back and just close to the deck surface (down by the bottom row of studs). Than use a ring terminal looking like temp sender.

I'm not sure there is a magical temperature number, my thoughts are its more of a consistency thing. Be repeatable and then start experimenting with different temps.

    Hope this helps!

I ran a blown sbc with cast heads for a long time................i would strongly suggest you run water in the heads.i had a filled block ran water to the back to the front of the head into a small radiator.

    Water in the heads??

This is a solid billet CN block with solid 13* heads! Not much chance of water leaking on this set up! Besides, waters just another thing to leak:rolleyes:
