I am running a standard helix magnesium stripped Mooneyham blower with a Burnett carbon fibre hat that has closed up the intake of the blower by about 30%. This has worked really well with more boost etc.

I am wondering about closing up the blower outlet using an alloy plate between blower and manifold. I have thought about the "Delta" (pie shape) at both ends and also just matching the hat opening.

Has anybody any suggestions on this practice.

    Cheers Ray

If your compare your blower outlet to a "retro" I believe it does more than just change the outlet to a pie shape it actually moves the opening further forward to take advantage of the high angle of the blower output change. I believe this may not be possible with your blower. Call Mooneyham and ask them if they can do it.
