blower gear oil?

    what's the best type of oil to use, i've been told a few different types, just curious. thanks

    The norm is to use a good quality 2 cycle oil so if the seals go and it leaks into the motor during a run the oil will not cause detonation.

    BDS told us to just us 90 wt.

    you can use two cycle mix oil or 90 wt gear oil or you can use automatic transmission fluid. you can fill it until it runs out the 5 or 7 0'clock bolt hole. the lighter oil should take a little less horsepower to spin but if it is street driven i'd go for the gear oil.

    WE use synthetic 2 cycle oil, like from AMSOIL.
