Hi, I know this has been asked before on here but it was ages ago and I do not remember what was said so here goes.

I am wondering which brand of ring and pinion gear will get the most life per dollar in a roots blown 3.70's-3.80s Top dragster using a 4.10 gear set and not going to a billet case. Strange ultra or MW case? U.S. Gear, Motive, Tom's, or ?

    Thanks,
    Trevor Sherwood

Toms ot us gear, motives are barrel items in my opinion. Size has a lot to do with it, what are you looking at 9.5 10?

I have a 10in toms in a strange ultra case and it moves around a lot. You need to reset the backlash every 15--20 runs. I was told mark Williams was worse. 2800hp 2550 door car.

With the conditions you've placed on your situation, a 10" gear, toms or motive will be your choice. Strange is the easier way because the parts are readily available, MW is just a little different, no worse.Good 10" gear selection is limited, but that shouldn't be a problem for your setup.

Hi Guys, I am not opposed to the 10" but was trying to figure out which would last longer per dollar, cost per run so to speak. Thanks.
