Have a blown funny car which we plan on running between 6.90- 7.50 et's at close to 200mph. My rims are 16x16's. I'm interested in knowing if tubes/liners would be safe or will I need my rims converted to beadlocks. Seems car was raced several years ago as ta/fc with the liners. Thanks for the info in advance, jh.

if you want to run beedlocks, you will need new wheels =beedlock wheels
    advantage: they are lighter
disadvantage: there is more of a fine line to avoid tire shake in the clutch tune up to avoid tire shake. easier to shake the tires

    tube,inner liners.
all you need is a sfi type drag wheel
heavier but a little more forgiving with tire shake, just need to monitor the psi for the inner and outer tube.....hope this helps

We will be running a p/g. If you have the liners/tubes do you have to run rim screws? The rims that came with the car had tubes/liners in them and are not drilled for screws.

no rim screws needed. the liners apply pressure
against the slick and the rim.

IT TAKES A LOT OF POWER TO MAKE THE BEADLOCK COMBO WORK, THAT IS WHY YOU SEE MOST OF THE COMPETITIVE TAFC TAD CARS WITH LINERS AND TUBES. YOUR COMBO WILL SUFFER GREATLY WITH THE BEADLOCKS, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND RUN THE LINERS.
