Have a 4 and a 4.5 crank. Everyone says to go 4. Need to get pistons rods and block. Bore will be 4.6-4.65, have Sonnys 5' bore space heads and whipple screw. Im tempted to go 4.5 and keep the revs around 8-8.5k since the chevys dont build power with rpm as the hemi and benefit from the better torque the 4.5 stroke will give. Or am i overlooking anything?

Oh yes they do with today's head and cam technology. That block should handle a large bore. My Chevy had a 3.800 and 4.625 bore. Most Chevy heads with large valves outflow a Hemi head today.

What block did you run and what was the bore space?

Cn billet 5.0 bbc . Excellent piece. Had first gen profiler heads. They were junk. Like silly putty , didn't flow shit for air. Big Chiefs flowed more air than them. Had small valves. But it didn't matter. 2375hp@9700 on Dmpe dyno. @20od. Stout piece , Hemi bearings small cam shaft, just a flat out bad ass piece.

Had those profilers the symmetrical intake ports? Have a 5.0 mtr available locally that have the symmetrical profilers, those heads have 2.4 and 1.9 valves. The sonnys have 2.6 and 1.875.

I would love to see it, I will PM you my email address

I have 2 customers that are contemplating 5" bore center roots blower setups and I figured we'd have to widdle out our own billet intakes or start with a 4 barrel manifold, but are you saying someone already makes one?
