Im running a 526 cu in chevy with a 8-71 blower. can anyone give me some details on how a msd 2step would be setup for a launch. such as how it is plumbed and wired. ive been using my foot as a launch rpm but wanna make it more consisten. right now its set up with a 110 pump with a carbon hat injectors and port injection. its a powerglide running off a trans brake.

plugs into an msd 6al and up ( 6al, we all on here and every one every where, trust your not using one of these still ), if your running a mag, plugs into the msd respective points box.

check out msd site as to more info possibly be a good place to see how to wire it in.

hook it up to your trans brake wire.

You may want to practice first, then maybe look into resetting your fuel system while its activated.

alternatively give eletrimotion a call he will set you up http://www.electrimotion.com/

Does your ignition have a 2 step feature built in?

no it does not. its a promag44 with a poinst box. sorry i should have worded the question better. aside from the 2step control module, since msd does a good wiring diagram, how is the fuel system changed. thats my concern. i believe fuel needs to be pulled away, but is it as simple as a solenoid pulling a certain amount of fuel away?

Spud at Fuel Injection Ent makes a real nice solinoid for pulling fuel on a 2 step. I picked one up last month, it holds a bypass jet right in it, plus it can be plumbed in almost any configuration.

Many do not take away fuel. Don't rush into it.

plugged mine into my 44 points box with rev limiter, I don't take fuel away, it works perfectly.

I do have a 4 stage timer, not used. - randy anderson tune up - psi d 113 over - fuel system was set up without timer.
