Strange 10.5" Rear End - Ring Pinion

    Hi Guys,

    I need assistance/information.
    Could you tell me, who manufactures Ring/Pinion with this ratio 4.30 or 4.56 for rear end strange 10.5"?

    and

    Could you tell me, what is the best transmission (3 speed lenco) ratio to use in a TAD screw blower?

    Loaded question. Depends on where your running, your clutch and the amount of overdrive. Generally somewhere between 1.60 and 1.70.

    Strange 10.50" gear sets are not available in anything but 2.91 and 4.11 and today's price 4/1/22 is $ 2950.00 ! Nothing else fits or works!

    I was told at the PRI show that they had two sets of the 2.90 ratio left and that was it, and not going to make them anymore. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but thought I'd pass it along.

    Don't alot of a/fuel guys use this rearend? Surprised they're doing away with the 2.90 gears.

    Bob, I saw that... and funny thing is, I looked at it last week and it was $2,750 !! Oh well.

    No business likes having inventory sitting on a shelf for years, and no matter how much salt & pepper you put on it'll still taste like sh-- !
    You can bet US Gear does not want to set up for less than 10 or "X" amount sets determines the new price !

    Update fact : they will not be made by US Gear, not enough volume.
    The small manufacturing friend of dragracers that invented and made the 10" gears will hand rub the 10.5" for Strange because small lot is what he does! But.... only those two ratios!

    He is contracted to Strange, unlike some, he WILL NOT sell out the back door !!!!! Call Strange...
