I'm looking for a shop that can put a O-ring groove in the top of my intake so I don't have to use a gasket. Anyone have suggestions? The closer to Florida, the better...…….

    Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for someone that has experience doing this. Any machine shop can, but I would prefer not to be the "guinea pig"...…….

Call Daryl Hameetman of HRE in Cape Coral. (239) 673.8627. Tell him I told you to call him. If he can’t then maybe he knows somebody that can. I am going to contact somebody else and see if he can do it.

Try Mike Riechers of R&R Rods in Punta Gorda (941) 621-8143. Just talked to him and he said he can do it.

Any machine shop (or any one that owns a Bridgeport) should be able to do it but you need to give them the dimensions to work with. Width and depth of cut with a decent hand sketch showing the width and length of the O ring receiver groove. They wont care what it goes on its all metal cutting to them.

Agree with Winr. The key is to pick an O-ring material first. Determine the amount of installed crush, and the dimensions required for same (most O-ring stock manufacturers/vendors have tables of this data at their finger tips). Then, any machine shop should be able to handle the job and figure out a path. Just make sure they know what material you plan to use, not the other way around.

It's a year old post. I'm sure the op figured out something by now.
