Hi, Does anyone have a piston from an hemi type v8 Alky or A/F motor they can take measurements off for me. I'm looking for piston height to the top edge (not crown), pin to top edge and pin to bottom skirt dimensions.
I get that many will be different but i just need a ballpark number.

Also who makes Pistons for A/Fuel cars and how do they compare with blown fuel pistons?
    Thanks

    Hi Rob,
Thanks for that, as it happens my motor design is for 4.375 pistons. So it would be very useful if i had one or 2 to measure & dissect.
I'll be at the summer nats in 3 weeks if your there?
The stroke i want is 3.07" so a fair bit shorter than they were designed for

    Hi Phil
We run 4.375 bore, too, and have a used set in the race truck which you could borrow (as we keep the old ones in case of a disaster) - can't measure them as the truck is at the Pod, but we're at the Summer Nats, too. Have some used rods, too, but they're 6.9" so too long for your application. And some spare valves you could measure...

Hi Martyn, Thanks for that. It would be really useful to have some parts to take measurements from, I will come and find you in the pits at the summer nationals.
    Cheers
