Have always used the open tip thermocouple type. I was told they react faster in the airstream than the one you showed

    Thanks Mike,

Is there an ideal place to put it? Front, back, higher, lower ?

Most of the time it is in the back of the manifold. A lot a times there is already a threaded hole for it.

Yes there is a threaded hole there. That's being used for boost reading currently. I will simply drill another hole. Thanks

I'm running blown fuel in my bike and just set up the manifold for a thermocouple. I'm running 45 # of boost and 85% nitro. Was wondering what the manifold temp should be? I have been told not to go over 180 degrees. Any Ideas?
