Hat comparrison

    How do you think the JBR pro 4 hole low profile hat (7” tall) will stack up in performance compared to the tall big and ugly with 5 9/16” butterflies on a 555 bbc with a HH retro 14/71 blower making over 40lbs boost

    How does the bottom of either hat match the supercharger inlet ?

    I think the JBR four is much the better hat but you need a custom spacer to match the opening in the bottow of the hat to the opening in top of the blower.

    Thanks for your replies, as far as how the two hats match the blower I only know that the enderle matches pretty well because I made sure it did but as far as the JBR I don’t have it in hand yet but was wondering before I bought it if it had the potential to out perform the tall big and ugly even though it is low profile compared to the BAU???

    The low profile makes the airflow turn less of an angle entering the blower so increased airflow. The bigger the turn the less the airflow.. if you can open the butterflies and look in the more you see of the back of the rotors the better it is.
