I have drilled and tapped my rear wheels to fit the secondary (slick to liner) valve.

When screwed in, is it recommended to file them flat flush to the rim or leave them the slightly (approx .050) protruding up?

We file them flat so the tire bead can slid over it easier and never any problems on 2 sets of liner wheels--Jim

If you don’t file them flat and smooth then the air in the liner may leak into the tire.
