I have noticed lately that a bunch of the nitrous cars have switched to zoomie pipes instead of the usual past collectors and/or bull horns.

What is the benefit here (if any?....) or is this just more for looks?

Are the nitrous guys suffering from blower car envy, or is there some science here?

    Thx.

Probably shows that a lot of money spent on exotic double and triple step headers and collectors might have not really paid off.

One other thing I have noticed is that with the collectors/horns the nitrous cars used to exhibit significant orange or blue flames on a good run. Kind of like the Top Fuel look in a way.

The zoomie nitrous cars really don’t show much of anything in terms of coloured flames.

Maybe the collector’ed headers were really doing a good job at drawing down the motor, but maybe the zoomies offer some other benefit in some way?

Don’t know the answer, just wondering.......

    Thx.

ProNitrous cars with zoomies have Blue to white flames.

I heard that with the bigger engines they don’t need as much torque because they have a pretty significant arm in them already so they switch to the zoomies to kill a little low end torque to make it more manageable. Probably shows a little bit more power upstairs as well. I was surprised at how much rpm they turn those big cranks!
