Ok everyone with old liner 34x17 hoosier we would run lower pressure to increase hook. in85 or before.

so my question is with new tires hoosier) beadlocks I get told more air will hook harder.
so does less to increase wheel speed and lower the hook?

I know a lot of other things factor in Engine pedal clutch verse crower glide engines rpm static on pedal clutch.

but strictly tires more air harder hook with new generation tires? and beadlocks sure seem to squat more with out liners.

Not sure what you are saying. Lower pressure does not increase hook. With lower pressure the tire contact cups so less contact in the middle so the tire spins more so you get higher wheel speed. How much pressure are you now running with what weight car?

I think you would be real happy with the newer style 17/34.5 Hoosier or even the 15/34.5. These are the narrower 'slipper' tires many Pro Mods use to get wheelspeed easier. I would say 6.5 needs to be your max air pressure on a 34.5 Hoosier and as low as 4.75-5 if you really want to spin the tire. Generally speaking you run more tire pressure with a beadlock to stiffen the sidewall. Many of the newer generation tires have stiffer sidewalls.

Are you getting ready to run the March Meet ? Very competitive class. Could you run a NTF tire ?

As Mike said I haven't ran that tire but I wouldn't think you would need to bump the upper pressures more than .5 more than what we mentioned for the 34.5
