can anyone walk me thru setting up a quickdrive for the first time.
Bolt flywheel on, check for run out
Bolt converter on check for runout
What about the bell housing? The block dowel pins are dead nuts and tight to slide on. Is this all it takes to align it up?
What about if converter is too far out? How you did that? Or if the bell is off?
I see so many of these dam things leaking when they leave the line. , trying hard to avoid that. Thanks guys , best damn site around.

Check out quick drives website if you haven't already. They have pretty detailed instructions about set up and the necessary shimming etc.

You need to sweep the Id of the hole in the back of the Bellhousing with a dial indicator mounted on the flex plate. If it’s not square you have to drill out the dowel pins holes in the Bellhousing and make you two bushings. Use the bolts to the motor/midplate to get it square( they will have a few thou clearance) then when it’s right weld the bushings in place. As far as the Convertor you can usually spin it to different flex plate bolt holes to find the spot close to square , mark that as your go to spot You should be good to go.

You can also do it like this:
    1) mount the bellhousing and torque it to spec
    2) mount the dail on the flex plate and dail the the hole in the bell housing, this will show you if it is not aligned with the crank center line.
    3) if you are less the 0.005 in you should be ok, if more than 0.005 in then you need to make new locating pins.
    4) make a set of offset pins with a 4 jaw chuck on the lathe.
    5) mount and dail again and you should be within 0.002 in if everything went ok.

I can send a video to show you... shoot me an email

    if you need it.

Does anyone know about the internals? What clutches and steels it uses? Or what number the seal is so I can buy spares ? Anything else I would need to carry in the trailer for spares
