What have you found to be the most economical flowmeters?

I like how compact the Racepak units are.

Are there others out there that might have some advantages over the Racepak?

    Thanks

I believe most of the data loggers use the same flow meter as Racepak. If you have a Racepak and you want to add a flow meter then it has to be calibrated and a K-Factor obtained to insert into the Racepak Data Link software.

I'm trying to make sure that a used Hoffer flowmeter (originally from Racepak) will work with my data logger but the numbers/letters are not legible so I'm struggling getting technical info to my data logger guy. Can someone post the model number from there -10 Race pak flowmeter?
I figured it would be no issues getting my data logger to read it but my guy says it likely won't work so I'm trying to help him help me :)

My data logger guy wants to know what the signal output and the required power needs to be and says the signal should be "open collector", and many Hoffers are not that.

Here's what my Racepak Hoffer flowmeter has on it:

On the main housing between the AN connectors:
    Model HO5/8X5/8
    1.76-16-CB-1M-MS-X

On the part that screws in the side of the housing (between the wire connection and the housing)
PC13-108G (this could be 10BG, not sure of the 8 or B)
    HFC SC

    Hope that helps.
