I know this site is more for racing, but I could use some advice so I don't screw something up. I had asked about just running a crank hub on a 454 once before and you all said it was alright, well, I'm putting together a street and strip, 427 BBC, H beam rods, 6223 GM std steel crank, 6-71 with 2 750 Holley carbs. It'll be internally balanced. The guy that does my machine work said it'll take the bearings out with just the hub and no balancer. He doesn't build a lot of blower motors, so do you all think with some street driving involved will it hold up? I don't see a problem, but I've never done it.

It will work, but I would use ATI blower damper.
