Been awhile since Ive posted here but Ive recently just got back in the game. What are you guys doing to seal up 45lbs of boost on a conventional head big block Chevy? Block is solid Brodix 4.500 short deck deal. Heads are solid Brodix BB-3. Blower is an older Kobelco turning 32 over. I keep having issues pushing head gaskets around 42lbs. Usually 2 and 4 fire slot and kaboom. Ive heard about using AJ fire rings or hoops to hold big boost but wanted to get feedback here if anybody has ever used them?

Yes the top fuel hoops will help alot. Kevin Mullins at TKM Performance in Denton NC does them on all the high boost motors

Can you convert to 1/2" head studs?

Could you explain the theory behind "top fuel hoops" . I went to the tkm page and he shows what looks like o-rings in the heads. Is there another method of sealing boost?

    Thanks

Some people call them ( fire rings ). I have them in my heads. Instead of a wire they are actually rings machined out of stainless bar that are deeper than they are wide. Makes a better bite into the head gasket and block than a wire. Plus there is no break in them, they are continuous.

Like a diesel? Do you machine the block down to accept them? Who else makes them?
    Thanks, Ray
