Hi, I was wondering what people have experienced first hand with which lifter brand has the best bang for the buck. I will be using 1" lifters in a roots blown hemi. Please let me know if this is correct.

The Cranes are about $1250 I think and when they come apart its roller bearing city in the motor. I was told they only last about 25 runs.

The Morel's I was told are $1,000 and live about 50 runs plus are rebuildable

The Jesels are expensive at $2800 but I was told they last about 75 runs, also rebuildable but its $1800 for a rebuild.

I do not know anything about Cam FX lifters or where to get them as I cannot find a website for them.

Thoughts on which lifter is the best bang for the buck.

    Thanks,
    Trevor Sherwood

I am interested in seeing what other replies come back but I heard the Morell no longer exist nor does CamFX OR that the manufacturers no longer "rebuild" them. not sure which is true or not true. I run Crane 1", no issues but no valve train issues either.

Jesel! Hands down. I know a guy who has 2 sets with over 200 runs on one and 250 on the other. I've broken crane and morel. Morels are great but don't rebuild em. Just sell em. Had a morel set at 60 runs. Decided I was gonna rebuild for start of the season and 10 runs after rebuild they fell apart. Axles came loose , scored the lifter wall. I'll only run Jesel after that. The parts it tore up more than paid for Jesel set.

Does it make a difference if you are using them in a BBC or a Hemi?

Anybody having issues with the Crower Extreme Duty lifters? We've been using them for years with no issues.

Morel lifters are next best thing to Jesel and are 1/3 of the cost.

I would recommend the Jesel lifters. They may cost more but look at the cost of a lifter failure.

We run a whole season on a set of Morals and with testing it averages around 80 runs. Never once have we had a failure and even if we had Jesels they would be changed every year. Jesels may be better but Morals do the job with zero issues and I would rather spend the 2k difference on something that shows on the ET slip!

Thanks guys, I have spoken with Ken in the past and he suggested the Morel units over my Cranes because of the needle bearings going everywhere. The Jesel's are $2800 new and cost $1800 to rebuild. Has anyone had the same luck with them after a rebuild?

I will give Ken a call and find out if Morel is still in business and still does the rebuilds but it sounds like that may not be the best idea if they come apart soon after.
