Timing chain or gears

    Hi im new to the site just starting out with my altered it runs a rodeck 481 1471 kobelco has run 6.9s in the past, it has always been fitted with a timing chain but a few people have told me to change to gears whats your thoughts.

    Gear drive, especially if it's MFI. The gear drive front cover is the best way to drive the fuel pump.

    Gear drive > chain. The more you can eliminate the chance for unnecessary damage the better. (For example, a timing chain getting loose and slapping around behind the cover).

    I used a Cloyes double roller in a Rodeck AADA w/o any issues for 2 years.

    Gear drive all the way, timing is precise and they really don't seem to wear out. Best wishes
