Shifting LencoDrivve

    Is anyone using the shift light on the MSD Powergrid to shift a Lencodrive 2 speed? If so, what type of latching relay are you using? How do you dump the air? Reeper

    Call Brad Schmidt 336-463-4073, he works for Todd Tutterow. They make a pretty good auto shift system. I know that doesn't directly answer your question.

    I don't know that anyone is using the shift light to auto shift in a Lenco application. Obviously it would require a latched relay and a reset.

    I see no reason why the shift light feature wouldn't work. I would suggest to find the right 12V air valve you want to use that releases the air on de-energizing and you can make your own simple latching relay out of a single relay. You don;t have to buy someone else's latching relay. I made several of them and they all work fine. When the shift light turns off, the relay stays on until you cut power to it, with a simple "momentary off" toggle or push button switch (or when you turn off the ignition).

    assuming you know msd makes a stand alone box for that. I know you want to do it with the grid. I like the seperate systems. it saves you from accidently changing the shifting if you go in and change something in the grid. Got all our stuff from Snyders.

    been shifting mine for 3 years with the grid with no problems and no relays
