Chris had a JBR hat I bought a couple of weeks ago. Said in his listing that the hat had some discoloring around the throat area but was in good shape. Pics he posted did not show the extent of the damage to the hat. Got it in last week and it was clear the hat had been in a fire and had JB weld near the base of the injector near the hat nozzles. It was delaminating and in need of repair. I sent him a text asking if he would take it back. He said he would not. Careful who you do business with on this or any other site. The racing world is a small one. Ill try to load a few pics of the hat I received in a bit.

Doesn't seem like Chris, I've dealt with him & he's been pretty good.
Chris, and I know your reading this, if there's another side to this story (and there usually is) let's here it, or just be a good shit & straighten this out, not worth screwing around with fellow racers.

Just read this, Let me start by saying WOW..... I've dealt with 100's of people in the racing community and never a problem. Now the Facts: The hat was advertised with several pictures and a explanation of damages. This guy called me didn't ask many questions asked for no more pictures or any measurements he made a offer I excepted. After he received the hat he called and first said it wouldn't fit his blower, and he wanted his money back. I found him a spacer the would adapt it to his blower for $75 dollars, then he decided he didn't want it because discoloring and he didn't like the way It looked. The add stayed up for several weeks after the sale and I got several calls people interested in the hat I attempted to contact him several times to let him know I may have it re sold and to pass contact info, he never returned my text or calls. So I forgot about it. Recently on a Facebook post I saw him with pictures of the hat mocked up on his blower. This guy is a clown

ITA is not ammune to sellers that do not accurately describe their parts. It's funny how people will sell parts and describe them, but somehow leave out just a little bit of info to get a higher price.

I had one of the vendors on hear even try to pull one over on me last year. He sold me a set of heads with new valves and I paid him, then before he shipped them I get a text that they are not even the same heads with used valves. He's like, well they will work just fine, the valves only have 3 runs. Slimy POS he is, and he will never get my business or anyone that knows me. Slimebag charged me for mailing my check back to. Let someone else help pay for him and daughter to go race.

So now on, I only deal with reputable sellers that will return and item if I'm not happy with it. And you know what, I've bought thousands of $$$$ worth of parts the last year from reputable guys, and I didn't have one issue.

If the hat is not that bad, they why not take it back?

This look like the hat? Yeah, Its not. You know damn good and well what you did. I sold that piece of shit for $1000 just to get some of my money back. You wouldnt take it back. That alone should say enough. Ill never deal with you again on anything.

I would've taken the hat back to avoid the bs and resold it. The buyer even if squirrelly made good effort to salvage the deal.
