note: your exhaust pushrods will need to be shorter

Hi Bill, I just did a bunch of research on this myself and I can tell you that everyone recommended I use either the Morel's or the Jesel's as they do not use the needle bearings. The Morels can run 60-70 passes without failure and are about 1/2 of the cost of a new set to rebuild. The Jesel's I have heard people running them for years...with an S but they are like $2700 or something as opposed to the $900-$1,000 of the Morel's. I do not know if that price on the Morel's was the dbl roller deal. Also going from the .904 to the 1" lifter will help but they are a little more costly and they are tough to find used ones in a pinch so it is good to have a spare pair or two in the trailer. The seat location is different from the Crane's, Morel can also rebuild your Crane lifters but I am not sure what that cost's and if they do away with the needle bearings.

    Take care bud,
    Trev

1" Morels have needle bearings - it is the only way to get that accuracy for dual wheels

they also are selling off there inventory of 1" at a good deal

We've used the Morel dbl roller exh lifters for 5 years now in our A/Fuel TAD, with zero failures, but do send them in to get rebuilt each season, w/ about 50 runs on them.

Another heads up. If you change from a .904 lifter to a one inch lift it changes the cam specs because the wheel is a bigger diameter.

Say at .800 lift, what difference would you expect to see?

A good number of 1" lifters, like our Morels, use .920" dia rollers.
the bigger the roller the better...bigger bearings, bigger shaft, & easier to follow the cam on quick lifts w/ lots of spring pressure.

Yes .920 wheel on the Crane and Morel 1" lifters , requires a different lobe grind than the .904 lifters .
